The rear discharge option ejects cuttings from the rear of the mower allowing you to leave them to wilt back naturally. Side discharge ejects cuttings from the side of the mower. leaving them in neat rows as you mow. Mulching is particularly beneficial. especially in hotter. drier conditions. Mulching reduces cuttings into tiny pieces. blowing them back on to the lawn where they virtually disappear. They then provide your lawn with additional moisture and nutrients that promote healthier regrowth.
